The Orton Trust exists to encourage the traditional stonemasonry skills used in the restoration and conservation of historic buildings. To this end, its tutors and officers seek to enable students to achieve their maximum potential and to encourage them to pursue excellence in all their work.
All the Trust's tutors are experts in their own fields, possessing many years experience, as well as the desire and necessary skills to pass on their ability and enthusiasm to their pupils.
No more than 10 students are accepted on a course to ensure that tutors give proper attention to each, even when there are different levels of skill and experience among the students.
All courses, with the exception of the Tool Sharpening Course, start at 09.00 hrs. on Friday and finish at 17.00 hrs. on Sunday.
